Three months in review...

These past few months have been a blessing - full of visitors, retreats, excitement, new friends, ways he has worked in amazing ways. My home fellowship is moving to a new building soon--- the healing home is as well - - both are bursting at the seems. He's doing a great work here! Some things are too great to put into words... hopefully you'll get a taste of the fun life has been! :)

Just 6 more weeks, and then home for the summer! Can't wait to have a break, and also super excited about my job for next year here.

My small group at an Experience retreat - they'll be 9th graders next year - can't believe it!
street food - mmhh.....
and she met the love of my life, danny... :)

such a darling chicken head...

She got to meet baby micah!! :) He even stuck his tongue out for her! :)

Rachael with my small group gals!!! :)

We got to meet a friend that a couple in Rachael's fellowship met on a plane flight and kept in contact with; since this dinner meeting, Chris has been to my fellowship and has become a good friend of mine; He works in amazing ways!

The bund at night - doesn't get more shanghai than that.

Lounging on the beach in Shanghai -- wink, wink...

Visiting an ancient water town...

Crazy hair day, duh... :) It was the best - but i can't take credit - it was all Rachael's work of art.

Twins day at school! :)

I convinced another friend to join the ranks - Kasandra got her nose pierced! :) She was very excited - as i told her this was one of the top 3 best decisions she may make in her life...

Next visitor which brought a SUITCASE AND BOX full of goodies, can we say christmas! :)

Mom and my students :) they fell in love with her, and were very excited when she surprised them on monday morning and popped in for a bit before she left on her flight.

My class designed the quilt below that my mom made, and they also raised money for 3 play matts, a wardrobe, and clothing boxes the home needed. We went last weekend to deliver the quilt, and the kids got to play with the babies. It was a very special time.

Wesley holding Joy - he was a natural with the babies! :)

Mom and Baby Micah having bonding time :) Please be praying for him - he went into the hospital yesterday and is sick; pray for God's hand of healing to touch his little body!

March highlights :)

Samwella and Nema came over to bake again - this time it was snickerdoodles :)

Exploding Rainbow - the newest concoction of the E and E abode - it is a beautiful mixture of rice, black beans, tomatoes, corn, and cilantro - yum yum! :)

My first parking garage in Shanghai - a corkscrew with cement walls on both sides... then you get down, and your cars are parked two high... boy, was i glad to get on level ground again. The amount of stuff they build/have underground creeps me out. :)
Baby Micah - he's working on his arm strength - and his smile !He is the happiest baby at the Shanghai Healing Home - the baby I got to name and support- and is obviously my favorite.
Would you look at that grin... precious!

Happy new Year! :)

Happy new Year ! I started off this year right - got a membership to a spa and had a Thai massage(my first!) and pedicure with a friend. The color of my toe nails? "Yes, I can can!!!" No school tomorrow -- and chinese new year break just around the corner! Looking forward to a trip to Turkey! :) Tonight Esther and I are playing sleepover with three kids and letting their parents go have a night away. It should be fun and relaxing... :) ha ha ha...

Here is Baby micah - a baby I support at the Shanghai Healing Home - isn't he cute? He always winces when it flashes... he isn't really grumpy, but certainly has a serious face. :) He doesn't have a cleft lip - just a cleft palate. And he just got out of the hospital with pnemonia and sepsis - but is doing much better now.

This was our christmas performance on Christmas Day - we had almost 200 chinese speaking attendees that got to hear the truth! It was incredible! :) The kids were a hit of the show too...
Christmas morning breakfast with friends - we had a feast - Cinammon rolls, potatoes, feta and tomato omlets.. yum!!!
3rd grade team party - I love who i work with this year! :)
